We have the largest group of physicians certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine in the mid-Atlantic Region. This medical specialty allows people with advanced, life-limiting illness to achieve comfort through expert management of pain and symptoms, and to maintain an acceptable quality of life. Many of our nurses and certified nursing assistants also have earned or are working toward certifications within their fields, following advanced training in hospice and palliative care.
Capital Hospice trains local physicians, nurses and students at area nursing and medical schools in providing hospice and palliative care.
