For Nurses
Who We Are
Capital Hospice has been providing expert end-of-life care in the Washington
DC metropolitan area since 1977.
As one of the oldest, largest, and most
experienced hospice care programs in the United States, we have served more
than 55,000 patients and loved ones in this community.
Several things set us apart from other hospices:
- We are a nationally recognized program.
- We have an “open door” policy, offering end-of-life care
to anyone mdically eligible for it, regardless of financial circumstances.
- We operate a hospice inpatient acute care unit in Arlington, Virginia.
- We offer a bereavement program to patients and grief and loss services to the community.
- We operate a free annual weekend summer camp experience open to anyone in the metropolitan area coping with grief.
- We are fully committed to providing employees with a thorough orientation and opportunities for ongoing education and professional development.
- We actively seek bilingual staff to serve our communities, especially English/Spanish-speakers; a differential will be applied to the base compensation for bilingual direct-patient-care staff.
We welcome your interest in our organization and look forward to hearing from you.
