The 11th Annual Josefina Magno Conference, Pain Has a Measure; Suffering Has a Story will equip and prepare you for integrative practice in providing relief of pain and suffering in your patients with serious progressive illness. You will hear several distinguished experts from a variety of disciplines in a blended program of practical, holistic, empirically-supportable, and evidence-based presentations on managing pain.

Also, the Josefina Magno Award for Excellence in Education and Leadership will be given to internationally renowned palliative care expert, Richard Payne, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Divinity, Director, Institute on Care at the End of Life, Duke University Divinity School, one of this year's faculty.

Physicians: This CME activity is planned in collaboration with The Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.
Nurses: Nursing Contact Hours will be provided. Capital Hospice is an approved provider of continuing education by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Social Workers: Social work continuing education units will be provided. Capital Hospice, provider #1088, is approved as a provider of social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
Chaplains and other professionals will receive contact hours.
