The Institute for Education and Leadership provides many opportunities for advanced training in hospice and palliative care, most of which offer appropriate credit for continuing education. Healthcare professionals and others interested in learning more about this field can choose from:

• Capital Hospice Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program, for physicians seeking advanced training and ABHPM certification in hospice and palliative medicine
• Josefina Magno Palliative Care Conference, for physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, therapists, bereavement counselors, administrators, and other healthcare professionals currently working with, or planning to work with, patients with life-limiting illness.
• Mid-Atlantic Palliative Care Grand Rounds, for physicians, nurse practitioners and other interested health care providers desiring to learn more about palliative care
• Journal Club, for physicians, fellows and other healthcare providers interested in advances in palliative and hospice care.
