Education and Support for Faith Communities of All Denominations

Capital Hospice realizes that many conversations about illness, aging, dying, grief and end-of-life decision take place in churches, synagogues, mosques, temples and other places of worship. Our staff and trained volunteers are available to support both clergy and congregations, by providing comprehensive and sensitive information about these difficult topics.

We have a variety of frequently requested materials and presentations currently available, or we can tailor programs and services to your specific needs. There is no charge for these services; grants and donations fund these presentations.

Capital Hospice also provides support for faith communities during times of community crisis, by facilitating discussion of events and how individuals and faith communities can cope. For more information on our outreach to faith communities, please call Phil Carpenter at 703.531.6224 or email .
